As the first day of 2013 Formula 1 Testing finally arrives, F1 fans ten week wait to see cars on track is rewarded with the first glimpse of this years’ cars in action. With no major technical rule changes for 2013, most of the cars are an evolution of last year’s car, with a little tidying up of various aero bits. One or two cars have made fairly big changes but they aren’t huge technological leaps forward, which may guarantee even closer racing this year but won’t push a major tech advancement in road cars.
Looking at this year’s grid, the McLaren 2013 car, for example, now features pull-rod front suspension instead of last year’s push-rod setup, which isn’t a major tech advance.
